My little 4th of July surprise, has taken on her first job. If you want to see why this little kitten is a surprise, go HERE. Her job isn't too difficult, and she can do it in her sleep. She is officially a pillow.
Can you see how well she is doing her job? She is in the bottom half of the photo, with a big white lump of a puppy happily sleeping on her. Just for the record, when I say "she" I could mean "he" -it's not so easy to tell. Mama Salsa, has taken in little fur-ball kitty just like she is one of her own. Salsa is a great mom!

4th of July Surprise
Hidden in the ivy, ever so safe was a just born kitten. In fact there were 4. Mom decided to move them to an even safer place. Problem was that her counting ability was a little off and she only took 3. Little soft mews were heard all day but mom did not return. What to do, what to do? Kitten was cold now and hungry too. Sooooo, in the house he came. Made him a bottle and he sucked it right down. Just so happens we have a mom Chihuahua by the name of Salsa, with two week old puppies. Hmmmm, will she or won't she? And she did. The kitten is much smaller than the puppies; but no one seems to notice.
If you really concentrate, you can see that he is an off-white, and the one lying on top of the heap!

Viva's Adventure
Some adventures are more fun than others. Viva is 13 years old and never had a sick day before. But this fine day she had a tumor the size of a fist removed along with a hernia. Viva is a 3 1/2 lb. Chihuahua. She thought it was a fun trip to the Vet, in the car with her mom. Now she is not so sure.
Checking Things Out
This is going to be an adventure where I can keep my notes, share ideas and have a lot of fun! Sound good? I think so too. I like to take my interest in canine health and combine it with my background in nutrition to benefit fur babies everywhere. Here I go, off into the Wild Blue Yonder! Wish me luck...
